Cameron Rawlings
Project Specialist

Cameron Rawlings serves as a Project Specialist with the Greater Nashville Venture Capital Association (GNVCA). He has extensive experience in donor relations, fundraising, government, public policy, and strategy. 

Cameron previously served in the office of the U.S. House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries where he was instrumental in aiding the Leader in securing approximately $20 million through the FY24 appropriations process related to education, food insecurity, public housing, infrastructure, and transportation projects across New York City. Alongside financial services advisors, he monitored the movements of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Federal Reserve System, and Department of the Treasury relating to the 2023 United States banking crisis. Cameron also interned with former U.S. Representative Jim Cooper before joining Leader Jeffries’ office.

Prior to the House, Cameron interned with Nashville Mayor John Cooper where he assisted in developing two city-wide programs: the Neighborhood Academy, a series of seminars hosted by the administration and department heads for Nashvillians to learn about and develop policy proposals, and the Communities of Color Vaccination Initiative, an outreach program designed to increase vaccination rates in diverse neighborhoods in the fight against COVID-19.

Cameron has fundraised and supported more than 25 campaigns for candidates, caucuses, and advocacy groups on the local, state, and federal levels. 

Cameron holds a B.S. in Politics and Public Law, and Economics from Belmont University where he conducted political economic research on the effectiveness of bilateral trade agreements and public policy solutions to stimulate economic development in globally impoverished regions.
